This past Sunday the 11th of April Gavin Paul Received his name and a Blessing from his wonderful Grandpa Paul! It was the most touching blessing that Gavin could have received. I am so greatful that he has such a wonderful family all around that loves and supports him so much!
We thank all of the Family and Friends that were able to make it. We love you all!

Pursuit Of Happiness...

The other night I watch the movie "pursuit of happiness" for the first time. It had me on a rollercoaster of emotions throughout the show. tears and all it made me so greatful for all I have. My dear husband that works so hard to provide for my family so that i can stay home and kiss my kids whenever I want. I do not miss one moment of taking my little Carter to the sitter, and having him hang on to my leg for dear life, sobbing as I headed off to work. I love that we have a safe warm place to lay our heads at night. And food on the table. I love the smiles on my babies faces. My heart is so full of  gratefulness for my husband, he makes all of this happen for me/us. THanks babe. YOu mean the world to me. thanks for letting me stay home, and love our little family!

chubby baby!

went to the doctor today for Carter, I can not believe that he weighs 52 lbs. he is such a BRICK HOUSE. And i wouldnt have it any other way. He is our tough little cowboy.  while at the dr. we were interested in how much little Gavin weighs too. Today he is one month old and weighs 9lbs 11 oz. I about died. He use to be 7lbs 7oz. and has gained over 2 lbs in one month! is that normal? I was so worried that I was not producing enough milk for him. But it looks like I am producing too much cream! :)

Carter's Birthday

Carter is such a great big brother!!! He is such a good help around the house with the baby, and the dog. When i ask him to help me, he never complains. I love him so much!
He had his birthday last week. I am horrible for not posting it before now. But it was a great birthday. He turned the big 4!!! I cant believe how time flies. It literally seems like yesterday that he was as big as Gavin. He got a new big boy bike, clothes, toys, way to much... I also forgot my camera when we all gathered at firehouse so i will post them later. my dad, and brothers were great to remember theirs.
Carter, thank you for always putting a smile on my face, and for your big hugs, and tender heart. I love you so much! Happy Birthday Kiddo!

TwO wEeKs!!

Gavin is such a great baby! He is so content, and Happy. He loves baths, He loves when carter rubs his head, And being held. He Hates his bed, but only at night. He will fall asleep in your arms, and the second you put him down at night, he wakes right back up. I know that it is horrible to sleep with your babies, but i would get no sleep at all if I didnt hold him. Or have him next to me. He is a mommy's boy for sure... If anyone holds him, and he can hear my voice. He will start to fuss until I take him in my arms. I love it. I never want to put him down. I could kiss him all day if i could. We love you Gavin!

Friday Morning  Feruary 26th Jason and I headed up to the hospital at 7 am for me to be induced.  I was at a "good 3 cent." when I got there. They started PIT at 9:00.  Dr. Firth broke my water at 12:30. Made it to 6.5 cent. And was stuck there for hours. My body was not reacting to the PIT anymore. They stopped giving it to me, and within an hour or so I was at 10! But heaven forbid I start pushing.... NOOO. 

I had to wait another half hour for my Dr to show up. 

I pushed for about 20 Minutes and Gavin Paul Garrett was here.

9:59pm

7.7 LBS

21 Inches

It was so scary cause the cord was wrapped around his head twice. They were able to slip the first loop off. but had to cut off the second. He Was not crying at all and I kept asking if he was okay. They reassured me that he was just fine, and healthy as a horse. He only whimpered a few times. and then started humming and talking nonstop. Carter was able to come up to the hospital. but had to wait out in the hall till everything was cleaned up. He kept talking to me..."mom are you okay" "mom i hear the baby"  "mom I love you" 

" mom can i come see you yet?" I couldn't help but cry. Carter is the dearest little guy. So concerned with how his mom and little brother are doing. Gavin couldn't ask for a better big brother.

Finally Carter came in and could not stop smiling. Everything is perfect!!

Holy Cow! Its 4 am I cant sleep. I have way too many worries running through my mind.

My number one concern is that everything goes smoothly and the baby makes it here happy and healthy.

And that I hope that Carter knows that we love him. I know that he is going to be so sweet with this baby. But I hope that he knows that He is loved So so so much. I am scared that he will feel like he is being put on the back burner. And I would never want him to feel that way! AHHHH! 

These two guys in the picture have been the only true loves of my life for so long now. But today we will be adding a third little man! It amazes me that one person could have so much love to go around.

I need to thank EVERYONE that has helped us make it to this point. With entertaining Carter.... to the foot rubs. .... TO my mom that just listened when I needed to talk. Thank you!

FINALLY!!!

So I had not felt the baby move since my Dr. Appointment on Monday. The Dr. saw me Yesterday and THe baby MOVED!!! he is head down. And He is Starting me Tomorrow Morning. We are all nerves.... but so excited that we will finally meet our new member this weekend.

38/39 week

MMMMKKK...... where to begin?
I dont know if I have mentioned this or not... but i HATE BEING PREGNANT!!!!!
Last week was my 38 week checkup.. And i was 3 centimeters, progressing great. But was in tears when the doctor said that he wouldn't start me. He wanted to see a little more progression.  At that appointment he told me "Monday!"
Monday is finally here. But for some reason, My hopes weren't up like they usually are.
I went to the Dr. and all of the nurses were so excited that it was finally time.... but still something was not letting me get excited???? The wait in the room by myself seemed like it was hours. Finally Dr. Firth Came in with a smile from ear to ear... saying "we made it!"
We listened to the strong heart. And the baby belly is measureing 41 Weeks. Everything seemed like it was looking great. He checked me... and i was still the same! all of a sudden the Dr. didnt seem to excited anymore... saying he was stepping out to turn on the ultra sound machine. My heart sank! I had only received one ultrasound with both pregnancy's. So why would he want or need to do another???
As we were walking into the ultrasound room.. he said the baby seems like it might be breached. There is no reason why I should be measuring the same as last week. I should have progressed quite a bit.
EVERYTHING on the ultra sound seemed perfect. and at that moment it really didn't matter to me when he was coming. as long as everything was all right. I was looking for the heart. and at the brain. looking for two arms and legs. I was calm.
The baby is not breached. But his head is sitting on my left hip instead of down in my cervix where he needs to be at this point. If he doesnt move down then they are thinking that we might need to do a Csection. Both the Dr. and I didnt want to go in that direction. But at the same time... We dont really want him to get any bigger than he already is. The Dr. showed me some moves and stretches that will probably help. So now it is just a waiting game. He wants to see me on Friday. And he will make a decision from there. 
Hopefully my next post we will have some exciting news!

Pictures! BuT still NO bAbY!

Jason went fishing today with Carter, and his two cousins Justin, and Dillon.
I get a call from Carter telling me to grab the camera, and head outside to take a picture of their huge fish!
I dont know who caught which one, but Carter insisted on holding the biggest one in the pictures.
(I have no idea where he would get that from?!)
Carter is getting so big, and knows just how to pose for the camera!
I will have to say.... Jason isnt looking to bad himself!!!! :)nudge.. nudge.. wink.. wink!

 

Holy cow, I love this kid!

He kept trying to take a picture of himself with these old glasses on. but couldnt get his whole face in the pictures. So he begged me to take on of him. I think his attempts are really cute!

 

Carter had a field trip to Macey's with his preschool class.

This is the two classes that Miss Julie teaches.

It was fun to have all of the kids learn more about the store.

Julie is so patient with all of these kids. I dont know how she does it. 

But Carter sure loves her!

37 week update!

I have decided that my Dr. hates me! I am so misserable. Still only at a 2. He wont start me! URG!
Everything still looks, and sounds great. Baby is measuring 38 plus weeks.
I guess There is always next week!

High school reunion!!!

Last night, Jenna Spence, Ashlee Gardner, Jodi Nelson, Marley Leishman, Brittney Branch Melanie Maughan, and I all met up at Maddox for a high school friend get together. It waaaasssss ssssoooo muuuuuch fun! It is so amazing how no ones personalities really change when you get back into the group you grew up with. Everyone picked up where they left off. taking on the roles we had as a group! (i dont know if that makes sense......)
It was so fun remembering all of the things that we use to do together, and the new lives that we have all made for ourselves.
We were all laughing so hard it hurt.  I feel bad for those people that had to share the dinning room with us.

I am so greatful that i had such fun, wonderful friends, and crazy memories made with this group!
Thanks guys, lets not wait to long to do this again!!!
I need to Thank Jason for being a great dad, and husband by watching our little man while i was with my friends!

36 Week check up!

Went to the doctor today. This time was super fun!!! I got checked!!! not one of my favorite things to do.
But, the news was great. I am diolated to 2 Centemeters!!! That gave me a little something to smile about. I was a zero when they started me with my first pregnancy. So there is hope that i wont have another 27 hour labor!
baby looks and sounds great.

Cant wait to see what next week's appointment will bring us.
Do you think my hopes are to high if i shoot for 6 centemeters?

FUN FRIENDS!

Last night Britt, Bryce, Jason, Carter, and I went over to Jalane and Kolin's for dinner and games.  Jalane had made pulled pork sandwiches and funeral potatoes. I brought a salad and britt brought rolls.
The dinner was soooooo good. And the company was even better. After dinner we played Texas hold'em for hours. and shared lots of laughs! All of the kids played really well together.
Thank you so much for such a great time guys!!!

34 week check up!

THe whole Fam went to the doctor's today for my check up. Jason has not heard the babies heartbeat since the ultra sound, so he wanted to come. Carter once again was a big helper for the doctor. The hearbeat sounds great. He still thinks he is going to be a pretty big boy! 
I  glanced over at Jason when we were listening to the babies heart... He had this suprised HOLY COW, WE ARE REALLY HAVING A BABY  look on his face. there was a smile there too. I think things are really starting to set in. Only a few more short weeks. Its going to go by so slow, yet so fast at the same time. Hope we're ready!

PROJECTS!!!

Jason Turned 23 on the January 17th!

(Wow, I'm getting old!)

For his birthday, I wanted to do something other than buying a gift. He has had this poster of this picture for years and has just hung on to it wanting to frame it. (with old barn wood)

Last year Jason's grandpa tore down one of his barns, and we went out there and saved some of the wood. The wood has just been sitting out in one of our sheds, so i decided that i was going to preserve some of his memories of that barn by framing this picture with his grandpa's wood.

My grandpa Bryce White does wonderful wood work, so he was my go to guy! I spent a day up at my grandparents helping my grandpa make this frame. It turned out so beautiful. He did a wonderful Job!

Jason was so surprised when i brought it into him for his Birthday! Priceless!!!!

Thanks for your help Grandpa!!!! We love you!!

 

 

I had started this blanket when i had first found out that i was having a baby boy. Months later I decided to finish it. While up at my grandparents this last week, my Grandma Joann helped me finish this blanket. It ended up being a little more complicated then i expected. She helped me put the batting, and silky back on, but left me to the binding.  I am glad she did. It is a great thing to learn.

The blanket turned out so cute. I hope the baby loves it as much as i do!

Thanks Grandma! Also, thanks for the wonderful work you did on the other blanket!!!
